Our mission is to enhance knowledge and facilitate the dissemination of information through print, media, CD, and online resources to students, faculty, staff and the community at-large to meet their educational needs and enhance intellectual development.

To respond to these needs, we provide an array of professional services, including

  • point-of-use instruction
  • structured library orientation and tours
  • traditional reference service to assist patrons in using the library effectively

All patrons have access to a broad range of learning resources at both primary and distance learning sites.  They also have access to the library collection at Texas A&M International University through a mutual borrowing agreement between that institution and Laredo Community College.

We provide TexShare services to patrons to allow them to borrow materials from member libraries across Texas and to access periodical databases. We actively solicit input from the teaching faculty in the development of our library collection. Priorities for acquiring materials are determined foremost with the needs of the students in mind.

Our staff members consistently strive to update computer technology resources by discerning trends in the computer world as related to libraries to meet the information needs of our users.
