The article reports on the U.S. government's secret wiretapping program as it applies to the case of an Islamic charity, the Al Haramain Islamic Foundation, with an American branch in Oregon. The case is of interest because the government inadvertently sent a classified document containing proof of government surveillance to the charity's attorney, Lynne Bernabei, in 2004.
