      The article focuses on a study to analyze altered immune response to influenza virus infection in adult rats that had been exposed prenatally to 2,3,7,8-tetrachlordibenzo-p-dioxin. Topics discussed include views of Dori Germolec, leader of the Systems Toxicology Group at the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, role of CD4+ T cells in creation of responses to vaccination and need of studies to analyze impact of changes in immune function on next generations of offspring.
