- Abstract:
This literary criticism looks at American author F. Scott Fitzgerald, focusing on the intersections between his life with his wife Zelda and with their close friends Gerald and Sara Murphy and his novel "Tender Is the Night." Topics include contrasts between the conduct of the Fitzgeralds and the Murphys; the plot and characterizations in the novel and its portrayal of marriage; and how it was received, including criticisms from Sara Murphy and from author Ernest Hemingway.
