The article discusses about the progress on "liquid biopsies" for early detection of the cancer. Topics of discussion includes the prospective study of a liquid biopsy for DNA and proteins from multiple types of cancers was conducted on healthy older women. The blood test called Cancer SEEK, developed at Johns Hopkins University and licensed by Thrive, identified 26 malignancies that were not discovered with conventional screenings like mammography and colonoscopy.
