      The article reports on the hiring of additional investigators by Detroit, Michigan-based DTE Energy to reduce financial losses associated with energy theft. DTE revenue management director Amy Walt remarked on the number of energy theft complaints being received by the firm. The increase in illegal electricity connections in the state is described, with emphasis on its impact on DTE customers. Details on arrests made and fees recovered after energy theft investigations are also offered.
