- Abstract:
Details last Saturday at Camp David where President George Bush was suddenly stricken with fatigue and shortness of breath while jogging. Initial tests at Bethesda Naval Hospital showed that Bush suffered from an irregular heartbeat, or atrial fibrillation, a condition that can be brought on by stress but is not necessarily a serious health threat. Drug treatment to restore normal heart rhythm; Benign condition, no heart damage, and a stark reminder.
