    • Abstract:
The article presents information on the drug estrogen diethylstilbestrol (DES) used for prevention of miscarriage and premature delivery. It was linked to vaginal and cervical cancer in the daughters of women taking it in pregnancy. A new report of 2011 stated that it poses health risks for women. The risk conditions include infertility, miscarriage, preterm delivery, stillbirth, neonatal death, early menopause, breast cancer and others.
