    • Abstract:
The article offers the author's insights on the participation of the University of Wisconsin (UW) in the Liberal Education and America's Promise (LEAP) initiative of the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). She relates that in January 2005, the UW became a pilot system partner of LEAP. She says that their effort of building capacity, encompassing visibility, leadership, and shared responsibility, in the first phase of the UW System's LEAP initiative will be continued in Phase II. She mentions that there are several activities for strengthening Phase II LEAP Wisconsin, including the renewal of the System Advisory Group on the Liberal Arts (SAGLA).
