    • Abstract:
The author discusses the city of Detroit, Michigan, and says that it should begin working to make itself smaller in an orderly manner. Many neighborhoods have become abandoned, and some areas of the city resemble ghost towns. The failing automobile industry that is based in Detroit has made conditions even worse. City planners should create a program to reduce the size of the city in order to make it more appealing.
