- Abstract:
The article examines the Eucharistic theology of Edward Taylor, the Puritan minister of Massachusetts in the 17th century, as depicted on his poems. It presents excerpts from some of Taylor's poems including "Preparatory Meditations," "The Return" and "Song of Songs." It also highlights the views of some theologians regarding Taylor's perspective on the underlying theology in the Lord's Supper as well as on Puritan sacramental theology.
