    • Abstract:
The article examines the sacramental instrumentality in the comedias of Spanish dramatist Pedro Calderón de la Barca. The two-fold representation of Eucharistic discovery in the play "El Maestrazgo del Toisón" is examined. It notes that his comedias show little preoccupation over injunctions by Greek philosopher Aristotle concerning the plausibility of drama. It mentions that the spectacle in his sacramental plays can be understood as an opportunity for autopsy.
