      Lope recreates the main archetypes of literature in his time: the prisoner, the shepherd, the pilgrim, the insane for love. Those figures remind us other similar mythical figures such as Leander or Icarus. But once the plot is solved, and after examining their conscience and released from deviant behaviours, all the characters abandon their disguise, even the renegade Rosardo, and decide to love properly.       Lope recrea metateatralmente los principales tópicos o arquetipos de la literatura de su tiempo: el preso, el pastor, el peregrino, el náufrago de amor y el enloquecido de amor de raíz ariostesca, que, a su vez, convoca a otras figuras míticas afines, como las de Leandro o Ícaro, también muy caracterizadas. Una vez resuelto el enredo, hechos los pertinentes exámenes de conciencia y liberados de los insidiosos afectos y desviadas conductas, todos los personajes abandonan su disfraz -incluido el renegado Rosardo- y se disponen a amar rectamente.
