      The article offers information on a research related to maternal concentrations of persistent organochlorine pollutants and the risk of asthma in offspring performed by the researchers in Denmark. Topics discussed included were relationship between asthma and prenatal exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), hexachlorobenzene (HCB), and dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene (DDE), risk of asthma with seafood consumption and interaction of PCBs and HCB with the aryl hydrocarbon receptor.
